Machine Quilting I Sunday Jan 10 Noon - 4:00 pm

First in a series of classes for machine quilting. We willget you set up withe right equipment and learn straight line quilting using a walking foot. You will actually quilt a project of your own in class.

Feathered Star Snowflake Saturday, Jan 30 9:30am -

Dazzling! This difficult lookng 15" block will impress everyone. You will use strips of fabric and a paper piecing method that will give you perfect points. Great class whether or not you have paper pieced before. Not recommended for first time quilters.

Wedding Ring Table Runner SaturdayFeb 6, 9:30am -

I have taught several methods of Wedding Rings but sooner or later you had to piece curves, which are difficult. Finally, a great system tha uses simple paper piecing enabling you to take out all the curves. Amazing! All Levels

This class continues when Machine Quilting III ends. You will be learning applique and decorative stitches. You need to have taken Machine Quilting 1 and II or have had prior machine quilting experience with another instructor.

Civil War Block of the Month Quilt Club Sat Feb 27

This beautiful quilt was designed by Sarah Maxwell and Dolores Smith using fabric designed by Judy Rothermel. You will have the option to buy the fabric and the patterns up front - or buy one month at a time. The patterns and kits will not be available until after the first of the 2010. I am working on our shop sample and as of this writing am on block #9

Machine Quilting IV continues the process of prior classes I-III. You will be adding embellishments such as yarns, beads, adhesive beading to enhance your quilt.

Celtic Quilting Sunday, March 7 Noon - 4pm

This is an easy pattern for one to begin Celtic quilting! You can easily learn to make quick bias binding and form into this easy pattern (Lovers Knot). My sample is a small wall hanging but it could make a decorative pillow or as a repeat block in a large quilt. You will be hooked. Not recommended for the beginner quilting student
